Research themes
- Identification and exploration of Indonesia’s local and endemic flora richness through the study of the classification, nomenclature, morpho-anatomy, plant genetics
- Bioprospecting and efforts to conserve local and endemic Indonesian flora in the context of local wisdom and landscape, as well as the use of services for flora resources
- Conservation of the diversity of local and endemic flora species, with genetic diversity, morpho-anatomy, utilization approaches in the context of local wisdom (ethnobotany), natural landscape and overall utilizing the potential of flora and its protection efforts in the nature tourism industry.

Description & Strategy
The richness of Indonesia’s flora is still largely unrevealed. This working group activity will reveal the richness of local flora to optimally contribute to the welfare of the nation and global community. This working group focuses on studying the diversity of local and endemic flora species related to classification, nomenclature, morpho-anatomy, plant molecular studies, bioprospecting, and their conservation efforts in the context of local and landscape wisdom and the use of services for flora resources. The approaches taken vary from genetic diversity, morpho-anatomy, utilization in the context of local wisdom (ethnobotany), landscapes, and overall utilizing the potential of flora and their protection efforts in the nature tourism industry.
